Ingredients:
  • Ash guard / Winter melon – 1cup.
  • Green chilies - 2-3 nos.
  • Chilly Powder- 1tsp.
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp.
  • Curd- ½ cup.
For making coconut paste:
  • Cumin seed – 1 tsp.
  • Garlic  - 1-2 cloves.
  • Grated coconut – 1cup.
  • water.
  • salt.
To make tempering:
  • Mustard seeds – ¼ tsp
  • Dried red chilli – 2
  • Curry leaves
  • Coconut oil

Method of preparation:
  1. Take winter melon, green chilly chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt in a pan. Cook till they become soft.
  2. Mean time prepare coconut paste. Grind together with coconut, garlic and Cumin seeds into a fine paste with some water.
  3. Add this grounded paste into the cooked vegetable ingredients and stir well. Allow it to boil in a medium flame. 
  4. Switch of the flame and add blended curd and keep on stirring for couple of mins. Make sure that it never boils. 
  5. Another pan, heat coconut oil, Add mustard seeds, when it sputters add dried red chilli and curry leaves. Pour this over the curry.
  6. Now our pulissery is ready to serve. Serve hot with plain rice. Enjoy!!!
