Nadan Parippu Thakkali Curry / Toor dal tomato curry is one of the tastiest curry recipe, which goes well with plain rice. Let's see ho we can prepare it.

Ingredients 
  1. Toor Dal(sambar parippu) - 1/2 cup
  2. Tomato - 1 no(finely chopped)
  3. GreenChillies - 3 nos(sliced in half)
  4. Turmericpowder- 1/2 tsp
  5. Red chilly powder – 2tsp.
  6. Salt.
  7. For making paste:
    Grated Coconut – 1 cup.
    Cumin – 1 tsp.
    Garlic pods – 3 nos.
    Shallots – 3 nos.
8. For tempering:
    Coconut oil.
    Mustard seeds – ½ tsp.
    Whole red chilly.
    Curry leaves.
Methods of Preparation:
1.Cook the Dal in pressure cooker with salt and turmeric powder, upto 3 whistles. Mash it and keep it aside.
2.Add tomato, green chillies, turmeric powder,red chilly powder and salt. Allow it to cook.
3.Mean time prepares the paste by using grated coconut, cumin and garlic pods and shallots.
4.Add grounded paste to the dal mixture when it cooked well.
5.Add enough amount of salt and allow it to boil.
6.Splutter the mustard seeds in a frying pan in the oil, add whole res chillis and curry leaves. Pour this tempering over the curry and mix well.
7.Serve hot with rice. Enjoy!!!!
