Moru curry Kerala style

Morru Curry
        Moru curry is one of the tasty and easiest recipe by using curd. It goes well with plain rice. Let’s see how we can prepare it………..

Ingredients:
1. Curd / moru / Butter milk – 2 cups.
2. Coconut oil -2 table spoon.
3. Mustard seeds – 1 tsp.
4. Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
5. Whole red chillies(broken) - 4 nos.
6. Curry leaves.
7. Shallots - (cut into small pieces) – ¼ cup.
8. Green chillies – 4 nos.
9. Ginger – 1 tsp.
10.Garlic – 1tsp.
11. Tomato – 1 small chopped.
12. Turmeric powder – ½ tsp.
13. Chilly powder – 1 tsp.
14. Cumine powder – ½ tsp.
15. Salt.
Methods Of  Preparation:
1.Heat the oil in an earthern pan. Splutter mustard seeds, then add fenugreek seeds, red whole chilly, curry leaves and finely chopped  shallots, saute for a while.
2.To this add chopped garlic, ginger, green chillies and tomatoes. Saute well and fry till nice aroma comes out. Then add the cumin powder, chilly powder and turmeric powder.
3.Lower the heat and add the beaten yogurt. Add water to desired dilution. Keep stirring under low heat with a wooden spoon. Never boil.
4.Remove from the stove and stir continually.  Add enough amount of salt.
5.Serve with plain rice.
6.Keep in the refrigerator. ( It should stay fresh for weeks.)
