Chakka Varuthathu / Deep fried jack fruit chips 
Chakka Varuthathu / Deep fried jack fruit chips is a very popular snack from Kerala.  Let's see how we can prepare it.

Ingredients:
  1. Unriped jack fruit (Chakka) – 2 cups.
  2. Coconut oil.
  3. Salt.
Methods of Preparation:
1. Remove the seeds from each jack fruits and divide the soft flesh part into strips of medium thickness.
2. Heat the coconut oil in pan, transfer a handful of the sliced jack fruit strips to the oil when the oil become hot.
3. Stir immediately and make sure these strips won’t get stick to each other.
4. Deep fry until it becomes golden brown and crisp.
5. When they become golden brown / crispy transfer it to a kitchen tissue. Sprinkle salt over it.
6. Mix it well.
7. Serve hot with tea. Enjoy!!!!!

8. You can keep these chakka chips in air tight containers for long time.
