Gobi masala / Califlower masala
       Gobi masala is a spicy and creamy dish which is easy to make. It goes well with rice, parathas, chappathi etc. Let’s see how we can prepare it………

Cook time: 20 mins 
Ingredients
1.     Cauliflower – 1 medium.
2.     Onion – 2 finely chopped.
3.     Tomato – 1 finely chopped.
4.     Ginger Paste – 1 tsp.
5.     Garlic paste – 1 tsp.
6.     Green chillies – 2- 3 nos.
7.     Turmeric powder – 1 tsp.
8.     Red chilli powder  - 1 tsp.
9.     Garam masala – ½  tsp.
10.   Coriander powder – 1 tsp.
11.   Pepper powder – 1 tsp.
12.   Coriander leaves, chopped
13.   Curry leaves.
14.   Cumin – 1 tsp.
15.   Whole red chilly – 2 nos.
16.    Salt.
17.    Oil
Method of Preparation:
1.  Clean cauliflower florets, cut into bite sized pieces. 
2.  Heat oil in a pan. To this add curry leaves, cumin and whole red chilly.
3.  Then add chopped onions and fry till transparent.
4.  Add Ginger garlic paste and green chillies, fry for 2 minutes in medium flame, then add chopped tomatoes, salt and fry till it becomes  soft and mushy. 
5. Then add powders like turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, pepper powder and coriander powder.Fry in medium flame for 3 minutes or until raw smell goes. 
6.  To this masala add the cleaned cauliflower florets, and 1/4 cup water, mix well. 
7.  Cook covered in medium flame until cauliflower is done.
8.  Sprinkle some coriander leaves and fry for 3-5 more minutes.
9.  Transfer to the serving bowl. Serve with rice chapathi, or plain rice.
Notes:
Clean cauliflower properly before cooking it by immersing it in hot water for 2-5 mins.
