    Jack fruit seed-Bitter guard ( ckakkakuru – pavakka) Mezhukkupuratti is one of the nostalgic dish. It goes well with plain rice. Let’s see how we can prepare it………

Ingredients:
  1. Jack fruit seeds – 1 cup.
  2. Bitter gourd – 1 ½ cups.
  3. Shallots – 4-5 nos.
  4. Green chilli – 4-5 nos.
  5. Curry leaves.
  6. Whole red chilly.
  7. Oil.
  8. Salt.

Methods of Preparation:
  1. Peel, slice and clean jack fruit seeds. Cook jack fruit with salt and keep aside.
  2. Cut bitter gourd in to slices.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add shallot, when it become brown colour add curry leaves, whole red chilly and green chilly.  
  4. To this mixture, Transfer bitter gourd and enough amount of salt. Sauté well, close the lid and allow it to cook. No need to add water. Stir occasionally.
  5. Add cooked jackfruit seeds when the better gourd cooked well. 
  6. Now our mezhukkupuratti is ready to serve.
  7. Serve along with plain rice.
  8. Enjoy!!!!!!!!
