Drumstick tomato curry / Muringakka thakkali curry
Muringakka thakkali curry / Drumstick tomato curry is a simple and tasty dish.  In this drumsticks pieces are cooked in a mildly spiced tomato gravy. It goes well with rice, rotti etc. Let’s see how we can prepare it….

Ingredient
  1. Drumsticks (medium Size) - 3nos. 
  2. Tomatoes – 5 nos.
  3. Onion (medium Size) – 1.
  4. Ginger Paste – 1 tsp.
  5. Garlic Paste – 1 tsp.
  6. Green Chilly – 3 ns.
  7. Cumin Seeds – ¼ tsp.
  8. Curry Leaves
  9. Mustard Seeds – 1tsp.
  10. Turmeric – ¼ tsp.
  11. Coriander Powder – 1 tbspn.
  12. Red Chilly Powder – 1 tbspn.
  13. Oil – 2 tbspn.
  14. Salt.
Methods of Preparation
  1. Heat oil in a pan, Add mustard seeds, when it splutters add cumin seeds, curry leaves, ginger paste, garlic paste, green chillies, onion and salt.
  2. Cook this till the onions become transparent.
  3. Then add drum stick, mix it well. Close the lid and let the drum stick are half cooked.
  4. Then add Turmeric, Coriander Powder , Red Chilly Powder  and tomatoes.
  5. Cook it until the tomatoes get mashed.
  6. Add some water allow it boil.
  7. Switch of the flame when the gravy becomes required consistency…
  8. Serve hot with rice, chappathi, etc…
  9. Enjoy!!!
