Thenga choru is one of the nostalgic dish from Malabar. We can prepare this recipe in many version. Here i am preparing grandma's style thenga choru. Let's see how we can prepare this........

Ingredients
1. Par Boiled Rice ( Puzhukkallari) - 2 cups.
2. Fenugreek seeds ( Uluva) – 2tsp.
3. Shallots chopped - ¾ cup.
4. Grated coconut- 1 cup.
5. Salt.
6. Water - 4 cups.
Method of Preparation:
1. Wash and drain fenugreek and rice.
2. In a cooking pot, add rice, fenugreek, shallots, grated
coconut, salt and water.
3. Keep on flame and when it boils, put the flame in very low
position. Close with an air tight lid.
4. When water starts evaporating and rice starts coming up,
stir frequently.
5. When rice gets cooked, switch off the flame.
6. You can serve with beef curry.
