Muringakka thakkali curry / Drumstick tomato curry is a simple and tasty dish. In this drumsticks pieces are cooked in a mildly
spiced tomato gravy. It goes well with rice, rotti etc. Let’s see how we can

Ingredient
- Drumsticks (medium Size) - 3nos.
- Tomatoes – 5 nos.
- Onion (medium Size) – 1.
- Ginger Paste – 1 tsp.
- Garlic Paste – 1 tsp.
- Green Chilly – 3 ns.
- Cumin Seeds – ¼ tsp.
- Curry Leaves
- Mustard Seeds – 1tsp.
- Turmeric – ¼ tsp.
- Coriander Powder – 1 tbspn.
- Red Chilly Powder – 1 tbspn.
- Oil – 2 tbspn.
- Salt.
- Heat oil in a pan, Add mustard seeds, when it splutters add cumin seeds, curry leaves, ginger paste, garlic paste, green chillies, onion and salt.
- Cook this till the onions become transparent.
- Then add drum stick, mix it well. Close the lid and let the drum stick are half cooked.
- Then add Turmeric, Coriander Powder , Red Chilly Powder and tomatoes.
- Cook it until the tomatoes get mashed.
- Add some water allow it boil.
- Switch of the flame when the gravy becomes required consistency…
- Serve hot with rice, chappathi, etc…
