Ingredients
- Idichakka / Tender jackfruit - 1/2 kg, chopped into fine pieces)
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp.
- Salt
- Grated coconut - 1 cup
- Small onions- 3 nos
- Green chillies – 2-4 nos.
- Cumin – 1 tsp.
- For seasoning:
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Mustardseeds – 1 tsp.
- Dry red chillies - 4 nos
- Curryleaves
Method of Preparation:
- Chop Idichakka / Tender jackfruit into fine pieces.
- To this chopped jack fruit, add turmeric powder and salt.
- Pour enough amount of water and cook it well.
- Grind together the grated coconut, green chillies, small onion and cumin to a carouse form.
- Heat oil in a pan or a kadai. Add mustard seeds, when the mustard seeds splutter, add the red chillies and curry leaves.
- Add the jackfruit strands and the ground coconut mixture.
- Saute it well.
- Cover the pan and allow it to cook for 5 mins in a medium to low flame.
- Our tasty tender jack fruit stir fry is ready to serve. Serve with rice.
