Mixed vegetable Uthappam

        There are so many ways to making uthappams.  The most popular version of uthappams are onion uthappam and mixed vegetable uthappam. Here i am preparing mixed vegetable uthappam...

Ingredients 

  1. Idli batter  - 1/2 cup and a little more 
  2. Cabbage – ¼ cup.
  3. Onion - 1/2 cup finely chopped
  4. Carrot – ¼ cup, grated.
  5. Tomato – ¼ cup.
  6. Bell pepper – ¼ cup.
  7. Coriander leaves.
  8. Green chilli - 3 minced.
  9. sesame seed oil.
  10. Salt.
Method of preparation:
  1. For making uttappam , we need idali batter.
  2. Heat a pan, add a drop of oil and rub it with half of an onion. This will help you to take the dosa from the pan easily.
  3. No need to add oil, if you are using a non stick pan.
  4. Pour a ladle of batter, when the pan is heated well, and spread it to form a thick small dosa. Do not spread it thin.
  5. Sprinkle the onion, cabbage, carrot, tomato, bell pepper, coriander leaves and green chillies over the dosa.  
  6. Drizzle a tsp of oil around the dosa. Flip the dosa to the other side, once the base is cooked well. Gently press the dosa with spatula. 
  7. Remove the dosa from the pan once it is cooked well.
  8. Serve hot with chutney or sambar. 
  9. Enjoy!!!!!
