There are so many ways to making uthappams. The most
popular version of uthappams are onion uthappam and mixed vegetable uthappam.
Here i am preparing mixed vegetable uthappam...

- Cabbage – ¼ cup.
- Onion - 1/2 cup finely chopped
- Carrot – ¼ cup, grated.
- Tomato – ¼ cup.
- Bell pepper – ¼ cup.
- Coriander leaves.
- Green chilli - 3 minced.
- sesame seed oil.
- Salt.
- For making uttappam , we need idali batter.
- Heat a pan, add a drop of oil and rub it with half of an onion. This will help you to take the dosa from the pan easily.
- No need to add oil, if you are using a non stick pan.
- Pour a ladle of batter, when the pan is heated well, and spread it to form a thick small dosa. Do not spread it thin.
- Sprinkle the onion, cabbage, carrot, tomato, bell pepper, coriander leaves and green chillies over the dosa.
- Drizzle a tsp of oil around the dosa. Flip the dosa to the other side, once the base is cooked well. Gently press the dosa with spatula.
- Remove the dosa from the pan once it is cooked well.
- Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
- Enjoy!!!!!
