Here i am discussing 3 methods of Samosa Pastry / Sheet preparation at home.

Ingredients:
  • All purpose flour – 1 cup.
  • Ghee – 1 tbspn.
  • Salt – to taste.
  • Cold water - to knead. 

Method of Preparation :
  • Take a bowl, Mix all purpose flour and salt. Then add ghee and rub into it. 
  • Add water little by little and knead into a stiff dough. The dough for samosa should be stiff. Allow the dough to rest for 15 minutes. 
  • Mean time makes gum. For this take 1 tbapn. of all purpose flour in a bowl. Add some water and make a batter. The consistency of this batter is like gum. Keep it aside.
  • After 15 mints. knead the dough again, take small portion of dough and shape it into smooth balls.
  • Roll the balls into thin rounds ( chappathies).

1. First Method:
  • Cut chapathies into halves. 
  • To assemble samosas, get ready with samosa sheet, filling and gum.
  • Take one half, and make a cone. Fill the cone with filling, and seal it by using all purpose flour ( maida) gum.

2. Second Method:
  • Cut chapathies into equal 4 parts. 
  • Take one  portion, place 1 tsp. of filling on the center of the sheet, and roll it to triangle shape. Seal and secure with gum.
3. Third Method:
  • Make thin sheets ( chappathies).
  • Heat a pan and heat each side of chappathi, allow to dry it. Don’t allow it to cook.
  • Cut both edges of the sheet ( Chappathi) Make it to 2 equal sheets.
  •  Take one sheet, and make a cone. Fill the cone with filling, and seal it by using all purpose flour ( maida) gum.

4. Frying of samosas:
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry all types of samosas. Deep fry until the samosa are golden brown colour and crispy.
  • The oil should be hot when you add the samosas to it, then lower the heat and let cook till brown.
  • Transfer it to kitchen tissue.
  • Serve hot with chilly or tomato sauce.
  • Enjoy!!!
