Mutta Ada / Egg Ada |
Ada is a popular snack Kerala. Ada can be made with a
variety of fillings. Here iam preparing ada with egg filling - that is mutta ada.

Makes : 5
Serves : 3 - 5
Ingredients
1.Onion – 1 large.
2.Coriander leaves.
3.Ginger – 1tsp.
4.Garlic – 1 tsp.
5.Green chillies – 3 nos.
6.Curry leaves.
7. Salt.
8.Rice flour- 1cup.
9. Vegetable oil.
10.Water.
11.Egg - 2.
Methods of preparation:
1.Heat
oil in a pan, add onions, garlic, ginger, green chillies, curry leaves,
coriander leaves and enough amount of salt. Allow it to cook.
2.Transfer
two eggs to it and mix well.
3.In a vessel boil 1 cups of water
with salt. When it boils add the rice flour with constant stirring (For 1 cup
of rice flour take 1 cup of water). Keep it on simmer for ½ - 1 minutes and turn of the flame. Close the lid and keep
for 5- 10 minutes.
4.Knead the dough thoroughly with your
hands by applying water. Do it in a single stretch.
5.Make big lemon sized balls by using
this dough.
6.Spread a little oil on your palm and
take a ball of dough and start pinching the sides
and spread the dough to make cup shaped moulds.
7.Put a spoonful of the mixture in this
and secure all the sides and shape it like poovada.
8.Prepare all adas by using the rest
of the dough.
9.Steam the mutta adas for 10- 15
mins.
10. Now our mutta ada is ready to serve.
