Onion Uthappam
    There are so many ways to making uthappams.  The most popular version of uthappams are onion uthappam and mixed vegetable uthappam. Here i am preparing onion uthappam...

Ingredients
For 2 Uthappams

  1. Idli batter  - 1/2 cup and a little more
  2. Onion - 1/2 cup finely chopped
  3. Coriander leaves.
  4. Green chilli - 1-2 minced
  5. Ginger - 1 inch piece
  6. sesame seed oil.
  7. Salt.

Method of preparation:

  1. Combine onion, green chilli, ginger and some salt in a bowl.
  2. Heat a pan. Once the pan is heated well, pour a ladle of batter and spread it to form a thick dosa. Do not spread it to thin.
  3. You see lot of holes on the top, sprinkle the onion mixture and coriander leaves all over the dosa. 
  4. Drizzle a tsp of oil around the dosa. Once the the base is cooked well and flip the dosa to the other side.
  5. Gently press it with the dosa ladle or spatula. 
  6. Once it is cook, remove the dosa from the pan and serve hot with chutney or sambar. 
  7. Enjoy!!!
