        Muringakka Thoran is a tasty and easy dish prepared by using drum stick. Cut drumsticks are cooked in mild spiced grated
 coconut. It goes well with rice. Go head and prepare this Kerala authentic dish…

 INGREDIENTS:

  1. Drumstick Cuts - 1 cup
  2. Onion / shallot – 1cup chopped.
  3. Chilly powder- ½ tsp
  4. Garlic -2 nos. large
  5. Green chillies – 3-4 nos.
  6. Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  7. Read chilly powder – ½ tsp.
  8. Grated Coconut- ¼ cup
  9. Salt - to taste
  10. For tempering:
  •       Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  •      Whole Red Chilly -2 nos
  •       Oil.
  •       Curry leaves - few
Method of Preparation:
  1. Heat oil in a pan,  add mustard seeds, let it splutters. Then add whole red chilly, curry leaves,  green chilly, garlic paste and onion. Fry till onion becomes transparent.
  2. Add drum stick, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, enough amount of salt and water. cover the pan with a lid and cook well.
  3. Once the drumstick half cooked, add coconut.
  4. Stir well and slow down the flame and cook it until water evaporate.
  5. Our tasty drumstick coconut stir fry is ready to serve. Serve hot with Rice.
