Ingredients: 
  • Egg - 5 no.
  • Maida – 1 cup.
  • Onion – ½ cup, finely chopped.
  • Ginger paste – ½ tsp.
  • Garlic paste – ½ tsp.
  • Green Chillies – 1 tsp. Finely Chopped.
  • Turmeric powder – 1 pinch.
  • Pepper powder – 1 pinch.
  • Chilly powder – ½ tsp.
  • Garam Masala powder – 1 pinch.
  • Fennel seed powder – 1 pinch.
  • Coriander Leaves finely chopped.
  • Curry Leaves  Finely Chopped.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Oil for frying.

Method of preparation:

  1. Take maida in a bowl. To this add one egg’s white and enough amount of salt. Add water little by little and make a smooth and thick batter.
  2. Hard boil 4 eggs, remove it’s shell. Cut boiled eggs into equal halfs. Remove egg yolks from each halfs. 
  3. Make a smooth thick batter with maida,salt and little water. Cut the boiled egg into two equal halfs. Take out the egg yolk and keep it aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, green chillies and some salt. Saute it well until the onion becomes transparent.
  5. Then add turmeric powder, chilly powder, pepper powder, fennel powder and garam masala powder. Sauté a while.
  6. Transfer the cooked egg yolk ( which we already removed from egg white), mix well with masala. Sprinkle some coriander leaves, mix well and switch of the flame.
  7. Fill masala in the part of the boiled egg from where we took out the yolk.

  8. Dip the stuffed eggs in the maida batter which we already prepared.
  9. Heat oil in a pan, deep fry untill it becomes golden brown colour.

  10. Transfer it to kitchen tissue.
  11. Now our easy, tasty and yummy “egg nirachathe” is ready to serve….
