Paal payasam Onam sadhya recipe / Ambalappuzha paalpayasam |

Ingredients
- Milk – 2 Liters.
- Sugar – ½ - 1 cup.
- Rice / Payasam rice / unakkalari / Chemba Pachari - 3 handful.
- Ghee- 2 Tbspn.
- Water – 4 liters.
- Cashew nuts -15 nos. ( optional)
- Cardamom powder – ½ tsp.( optional)

Method of preparation:
- Wash and dry the rice thoroughly.
- Take a wide saute pan (Preferably uruly).
- Add ghee and 4 liters of water. Pour milk when water starts boiling.
- Allow to evaporate water and make it to become half portion (3 liters).
- Then transfer washed rice to it. Reduce flame and allow it to cook.
- Add sugar when the rice cooked well and color of Payasam becomes light brown color. Allow it to boil for few mins. Then switch of the flame.
- Now our paal payasam is ready to serve. Stir it for some more time.
- If you want add cardomom powder and roasted cashew nuts, this step is optional. Mix well.
- Now our tasty paal payasam is ready to serve. Serve hot. Enjoy!!!!
