Ingredients:

  • Unripe plaintain / ethakka – 3 nos.
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp.
  • Salt – 1 tbspn.
  • Coconut oil – 1 L.
  • Water - 1/4 cup.
Method of Preparation:

  1. Peel off plantain skin gently. Cut it into half slices vertically, again cut it in to ¼ inch slices.
  2. Add ½ tsp. of turmeric powder to it and let it rest for 30 mins. Drain it and keep it aside.
  3. Mix 1 tbspn. of salt in ¼  cup of water, Keep it aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, let it reach smoking point
  5. Transfer drained plantain slices to the hot oil.
  6. Sprinkle salt water over the chips. Allow it dry. Then remove chips from oil when it done.
  7. Now our tasty banana chips is ready to serve. Let it cool, and store in airtight containers. Enjoy!!!.
