Pazham Puttu പഴം പുട്ട്

Pazham Puttu
          Puttu is one of the famous breakfast dish from Kerala. Verities of puttus are there……..Pazham puttu is one of the easy and tasty puttu with ripped banana. Let’s see how to make this……..

Ingredients 
1.       Roasted Rice Flour - 1 cup (200 gm).
2.       Ripe Banana (Nenthra Pazham) - 2 nos.
3.       Grated coconut - 1/2 cup.
4.       Coconut milk – 1cup.
5.       Water – ½ - 1 cups.
6.       Salt.

Method of Preparation:
1. Add required salt to rice flour and mix well. Sprinkle coconut milk and water on the rice flour. Continue adding water until you get a rigid lump when we hold a hand full of the puttu powder.
2. Cut the banana into small pieces and mix it with the puttu powder.
3. Sprinkle a little coconut on the bottom of the puttu mould and then put the puttu powder(with banana) in it till half of the puttu mould  is filled.
4. Again, put the grated coconut on top of it and then puttu powder till the puttu mould is full.
5. Put the grated coconut on the top and close the lid.
6. Heat water in the pot and steam the for 10 – 15 mins.
7. Serve hot with pappadam. No need of any curries with this.
