Dal Fry is
one of the popular Indian dal or lentil recipe. Dal fry has a good
mouth feel of soft dal pieces and goes great with chapathi. Paratha etc. Let's see how we can prepare it.....

Preparation
Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 25 mins
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
1.
Tur dal – 1cup.
2.
Chana Dal – ½ cup.
3.
Onions – 1 sliced.
4.
Ginger – 1 tsp.
5.
Garlic – 1 tsp.
6.
Green chillies
– 2-3 finely chopped.
7.
Tomato – 1 small chopped.
8.
Curry leaves.
9.
Mustard seed – 1 tsp.
10. Cumin seeds – ½ tsp.
11. salt to taste.
12. chopped coriander.
13. Oil.
14. Water.
Method of Preparation:
1.Wash and soak the dals for 30 mins.
2.Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, when it splutters add cumin seeds and curry leaves.
4.Add the onions and saute on a medium
flame for 2 to 3 minutes, till the onions turn translucent.
5.Add the ginger and garlic paste,
green chilies and tomatoes, and fry it.
6.Add dal, water, and salt to it. Cook it well.
7.Stirring occasionally.
8.Make a thick consistency.
9.Serve immediately garnished with
coriander leaves.
10. Serve hot with chapathi.... Enjoy!!!!
