Chicken curry Grandma’s style/ Kerala Recipe
Chicken curry!!!!!........ Grandma's style!!!!!!!........You can prepare chicken curry in different style. This is a different version of chicken curry which is prepared by my grandma. Basically it is a Kerala style recipe, the smell and taste is awesome. It is the tastiest chicken curry that i ever eat. Let's see how can prepare it.......

 Ingredients 
1.     Chicken – 500gms.
2.     Onions - 3 medium size finely chopped.
3.     Tomatoes – 2 finely chopped.
4.     Ginger- 1’’ piece.
5.     Garlic paste -5-6 cloves.
6.     Shallots – 4-5 nos.
7.     Lemon juice – 1 tsp.
8.     Salt.
For roasting:
1.     Cinnamon sticks - 2 one inch pieces.
2.     Cloves – 4-5 nos.
3.     Cardamom pods - 3 nos.
4.     Fennel seeds - 1 tsps.
5.     Black peppercorn - 10 nos.
6.     Coriander seeds - 2 tbsps.
7.     Whole red chilly – 5-8 nos.
8.     Curry leaves.
     9.     Turmeric powder- 3/4 tsp
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the chicken into medium sized pieces.
2. Heat coconut oil in a pan. Roast cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamom pods, fennel seeds, black peppercorn, coriander seeds, turmeric powder, whole red chilly and curry leaves. Allow it to cool. Add shallot, ginger and garlic to it and grind it to a smooth paste.
3. Add onion, tomato, lemon juice, and enough amount of salt to chicken.Mix it well by using hand.
4.  Keep it for 30 mins. to 1 hour.
5. Transfer one enough amount of water to it and sauté well. Cover the lid and cook well.
6. Sprinkle some curry leaves and coconut oil. Cover the lid and switch off the flame.
7. Now my grandma’s style chicken curry is ready to serve. Serve this with rice , idiyappam, appam, rice etc. Enjoy!!!!
