Onion Fitters/ Ulli Vada is one of the famous snack from kerala. It is prepared by using onion, green chillies, gram flour etc. It is one of the easy and tasty dish. Let's see how we can prepare it.......

Serving Size:  6  Adults
Cooking Time:  15  Minutes
Preparation Time:  15  Minutes

Ingredients: 

1.     Onion - 2 cup sliced.
2.     Gram Flour – 1 cup.
3.     All purpose flour – 2 tsp.
4.     Chilli Powder  -  ¼    tsp
5.     Ginger Paste     ¼    tsp
6.     Green Chillies -chopped    2    nos.
7.     Curry Leaves -chopped    2    stalks
8.     Water     125    ml
9.     Salt to taste     1    tsp.
10.   Baking soda – ½ tsp.
11.   Oil for deep frying    1    cup
Method of preparation:
1.Take the onions in a large bowl add ginger, chilly powder, green chilly, salt,  baking soda and curry leaves, squeeze well using hands.
2.Add gram flour and some water, mix together.
3.Add one tsp of all purpose flour.
4.Heat oil in a pan.
5.Fry the ulli vada on medium heat till golden brown on both sides or until crisp.
6.Drain on an absorbent paper and serve it hot.
7. Serve hot with tea. Enjoy!!!!!
