Egg Curry Grandma’s style
       Mutta curry / egg curry in grandma’s style is a famous side dish that goes well with appams, idiappam, parottas and rice. A simple and delicious side dish that is easy to make. Let’s see how we can prepare this……….

Ingredients:
1.Eggs – 3 numbers.
2.Onions - 2 large finely chopped.
3.Curry leaves - 1 spring.
4.Green chilies – 2 chopped.
5.Tomato – one small chopped.
6.Shallots – 4-5 nos.
7.Ginger  - 1 table spoon finely chopped.
8.Garlic  - 5 cloves finely chopped.
9.Chilli Powder - 1 tsp.
10.Pepper Powder - 1 tsp.
11.Coriander Powder -1 tsp.
12.Turmeric Powder -1/4 tsp.
13.Garam Masala – ½ tsp.
14.Coconut Oil - 4 tblspn.
15.Salt to taste.
16. Fennel seeds – 1/ tsp.
17.Grated coconut – 1/ cup.
Method of Preparation:
1.    Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and add salt to it, let the eggs boil for 8-9 minutes, drain the salt water and allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes. Peel the shells and set aside.
2. Grind coconut, shallots and fennel seeds.
3. Heat oil in a wide pan, add chopped onions, add finely chopped ginger, garlic and green chilies, and curry leaves.
4.Add the chopped tomatoes and give a good mix, let it cook covered and cook for 3 minutes until mushy.
5.Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander pepper powder and garam masala powder. Mix it well.
6.Transfer the coconut paste. When it boils, break an egg and mix well with our curry.
7.Add boiled eggs, and some coriander leaves. Stir it, cover the pan and let it cook for 3- 5 mins.
 8.Serve with appam, chappathi, idiappam, parottas and rice. etc.
