Tomato Chutney

Tomato Chutney 
       You can  use red tomato chutney as a side dishes for idaly, dosa, curd rice etc. Let’s how e can prepare this…………..

Ingredients
1. Tomatoes – ½ kg.
2. Onion – 1.
3. Cashew nuts – 1 tbs.
4. Roasted chana dal – 1 tbsp.
5. Cumin seeds – ½ tsp.
6. Mustard seeds – 1 tsp.
7. Curry leaves for flavor.
8. Coriander leaves.
9. Red chilli – 4 nos.
10.Garlic – 3 pieces.
11.Ginger- 1inch piece.
12. Greenr chilli – 2nos.
13.Grated coconut – 2 tbsp.
14.Hing – ¼ tsp.
15. Oil - 2 tbsp.
16. Salt.
17.Tamarind.
Method of Preparation:

1. Heat oil a pan add mustard, when it splutters add cumin seeds, curry leaves, red chilli, green chilly, cashew nuts, roasted chana dal, ginger, garlic  and tamrind and sauté well.
2.Add chopped tomato,salt, hing, coriander leaves and grated coconuts. Allow it to cool for some time. 
3.Blend little coarse add water to adjust required consistency.
4.Heat 1 table spoon of oil in a pan, add mustard seed, when it splutters add curry leaves and red whole chllies. Pour this tempering to the chutney. 
5.Mix well and serve.
6. Serve it with idali, dosa curd rice etc….enjoy!!!!
