Kumbalanga Pulissery / Moru curry onam sadhya |
- Ash guard / Winter melon – 1cup.
- Green chilies - 2-3 nos.
- Chilly Powder- 1tsp.
- Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp.
- Curd- ½ cup.
For making coconut paste:
- Cumin seed – 1 tsp.
- Garlic - 1-2 cloves.
- Grated coconut – 1cup.
- water.
- salt.
To make tempering:
- Mustard seeds – ¼ tsp
- Dried red chilli – 2
- Curry leaves
- Coconut oil

Method of preparation:
- Take winter melon, green chilly chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt in a pan. Cook till they become soft.
- Mean time prepare coconut paste. Grind together with coconut, garlic and Cumin seeds into a fine paste with some water.
- Add this grounded paste into the cooked vegetable ingredients and stir well. Allow it to boil in a medium flame.
- Switch of the flame and add blended curd and keep on stirring for couple of mins. Make sure that it never boils.
- Another pan, heat coconut oil, Add mustard seeds, when it sputters add dried red chilli and curry leaves. Pour this over the curry.
- Now our pulissery is ready to serve. Serve hot with plain rice. Enjoy!!!
