 Ingredients:
1. For filling :
  • Chicken - 250 g
  • Onion, finely sliced– 2 cups.
  • Ginger, crushed  - 1 tsp.
  • Turmeric powder – ½  tsp
  • Garam masala – ½  tsp
  • Pepper powder – 1 tsp.
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic, crushed - 1 tsp.
  • Green chillies, chopped – 6.
  • Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves.
  • Curry leaves.


2. Other Ingredients:
  • Egg – 4 nos.
  • Macaroni / pasta – 100 gms.
  • Cashew nuts – 10 nos.
  • Ghee – 2 tbspn.

Method of Preparation:

  1. Cook macroni / pasta in a pot by adding enough amount of salt. Remove from water and keep them in a plate when it done.
  2. Beat 4 eggs by adding ½ tsp. of pepper powder and salt. Make it fluffy
  3. To make Chicken masala: 
  4. Mix together the chicken with ¼ tsp. of pepper powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder  and salt. Cook it well. Mince it and keep it aside.
  5. Heat one table spoon oil in a pan and sauté the onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic, curry leaves by adding some salt. Stir it until the onion becomes transparent.
  6. Now add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  7. Then add minced chicken, keep stirring till all the water is absorbed.
  8. Add  some coriander leaves and switch of the flame.
  9. Now our chicken masala is ready.
  10. To make mixture / batter for macroni pola:
  11. Take cooked macroni / pasta in a bowl. To this add chicken masala, egg mixture and chopped coriander leaves. Mix it gently.
  12. Heat a sauce pan / pressure cooker. When heated pour ghee, rotate the pan. Pour macroni – chicken -  egg mixture in to it. Cover it, allow it to cook in a very low flame.
  13. Garnish with cashew nuts and chopped coriander leaves after 3-5 mins.
  14. Cook for half an hour in low flame. ( If you are using pressure cooker, put the lid on the cooker without weight )
  15. Cook this till the top layer has been cooked ( no longer moist).
  16. Flip the other side to a pan to cook upper portion. Cook it in a low flame for about 5 mins.
  17. Now our tasty, spicy and yummy macroni is ready to serve.
  18. Cut it in to desired shape and serve hot. Enjoy!!!!!
