Dates Fritters / Eethappazham Porichathu / snack / Malabar Iftar dish for Ramadan |
Ingredients:
- Dates - 15 nos.
- Cashew Nuts - 15 nos.
- Maida / All purpose flour - ¾ cup
- Rice Flour - 2 tbsp
- Sugar - 2 tbspn.
- Baking soda – ½ tsp.
- Oil for frying.

Method of Preparation:
- Take maida in a bowl. To this add rice flour, sugar and baking soda. Make a smooth thick batter by adding enough water.
- Make a slit on one side of the date, remove the seed of it and replace with cashew nuts.
- Dip each dates in the batter.
- Heat oil in a pan, deep fry it until they become golden brown color.
- Transfer it to kitchen tissue.
- Now our easy and tasty dates fritters is ready to serve.
- Serve hot. Enjoy!!!
